The Western Cape Government is now accepting applications for the Masakh’iSizwe Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year. This bursary is aimed at developing a new generation of professionals in the built environment and infrastructure sectors.

Fields of Study Covered

The Masakh’iSizwe Bursary is open to students pursuing full-time studies in the following fields:

• Architecture

• Civil Engineering

• Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)

• Geomatics

• Mechanical Engineering

• Quantity Surveying

• Other related disciplines

What the Bursary Covers

The bursary provides comprehensive support for the following:

• Full tuition fees

• Prescribed textbooks

• Study materials

• Academic support and mentoring

• Structured work-integrated learning and workplace experience

The programme also includes personal development opportunities and access to a professional support network.
