This Disclaimer forms part of the EduCoast Terms of Use. It does not limit rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.
1. General educational information
EduCoast content is provided for general educational and informational purposes. It is not legal, financial, career, admissions, immigration, medical or professional advice. You remain responsible for decisions made using the Services.
Although we work to present useful and current information, errors, omissions, delays and outdated material can occur. Publication does not amount to a representation that information is complete or suitable for your circumstances.
2. Application dates, courses, APS and institutions
Application opening dates, closing dates, late windows, requirements, APS thresholds, programmes, campuses, fees, accreditation and available places may change without notice. A displayed “open” status is a helpful summary based on available dates, not a guarantee that an institution is accepting your particular application.
APS calculators and course filters provide estimates. Institutions may use different subject rules, exclusions, selection tests, quotas and programme-specific calculations. A match does not guarantee eligibility, admission, funding, registration or employment.
Before paying, applying, travelling, choosing subjects or relying on a deadline, confirm the information directly with the relevant university, TVET college, school, examination body, funder or government department.
3. Prospectuses, study resources and third-party documents
Prospectuses, past papers, guides, textbooks, application material and institutional logos may originate from third parties and remain subject to their rights and official versions. EduCoast may organise, preview or link to them for discovery and study purposes but does not thereby claim ownership or official status.
The latest year shown is the latest version available to EduCoast, which may not be the latest version issued by the institution. Verify edition, year, curriculum, language and completeness before relying on a document.
Educational materials do not guarantee examination results. Learners should follow their curriculum, educator guidance and official examination instructions.
4. File uploads, previews and document tools
Conversions, OCR, splitting, merging, compression, previews and other automated processing can change layout, fonts, images, metadata, accessibility, signatures, formulas or fidelity. Always inspect the output before using it and keep the original file.
EduCoast is not a permanent file storage or backup service. Uploaded and generated files may expire, be removed or become unavailable. Do not rely on a preview as proof that a complete or legally valid document was uploaded.
Security checks reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every harmful or unlawful file will be detected. Download and open user-uploaded files with appropriate caution.
5. Study Coast and user content
Discussions, comments, ratings, attachments and other user contributions express the contributor’s views. EduCoast does not verify or endorse every contribution. Moderation is intended to support safety and quality but is not a guarantee of accuracy, legality or suitability.
Do not treat a community answer as an official memorandum, marking instruction, admission decision or professional opinion. Report unsafe, infringing or misleading material through the provided tools.
6. External links, institutions and advertising
Links to third-party websites are supplied for convenience. EduCoast does not control their availability, content, security, pricing, application systems or privacy practices. A link or mention does not necessarily mean endorsement, partnership or affiliation.
Unless expressly stated, EduCoast is not an official website of any university, college, school, government department, examination body or funder.
Advertising and sponsored placements help support the Services. Advertisers are responsible for their claims, products and destination pages. Editorial content is not an official endorsement merely because an advertisement appears nearby.
7. Availability, account deletion and security
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, compatibility with every device or file, or permanent availability of a page, link, download or account feature. Maintenance, security measures, provider failures and events outside reasonable control may interrupt the Services.
Account deletion becomes irreversible on the live service after the 14-day safety period and completion of processing. Users are responsible for downloading information they want to retain and cancelling an accidental request before the displayed deadline. Public Study Coast contributions may remain in anonymised form as explained in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Online transmission and storage carry risk. Review the Privacy Policy for how personal information and uploads are handled.
8. Limitation of responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, EduCoast is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Services, third-party content, user content or uploaded files.
Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence where it cannot be excluded, or any statutory consumer or privacy right that applicable law does not permit us to waive.
9. Corrections, rights and contact
If you find a material error, broken official link, unsafe file or rights concern, please identify the page and explain the issue. We may correct, label, restrict or remove material after review.
