The Vaal University of Technology (VUT) was founded in 1966 as the Vereeniging College for Advanced Technical Education. It became a university of technology in 2004 and has since grown into one of South Africa’s largest residential universities of technology, with over 20,000 students enrolled.
VUT focuses strongly on engineering, technology, applied sciences, management, and humanities, producing graduates with both academic knowledge and practical skills suited for industry.
