Unizulu
The University of Zululand (Unizulu) is a public university in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate education across a range of academic disciplines and is engaged in teaching, research and community development, with a historical focus on serving the people of the Zululand region.
History
The University of Zululand was established in the mid-20th century to expand higher education access in the Zululand region. It developed a main campus at KwaDlangezwa near Empangeni and expanded over time to include additional teaching sites to serve the province and surrounding communities. Throughout its history the university has evolved its academic offerings, research capacity and community engagement programmes to address regional development needs and national higher education priorities.
