Diploma in Accounting Sciences develops knowledge and practical capability in accounting, financial reporting, taxation and assurance. least 40% in Mathematics or 50% in Mathematical Literacy, or a Senior Certificate (SC) with at least a D symbol on HG or a C symbol on SG in the language of teaching and learning and with at least an E symbol on HG in Mathematics, or a Higher
Certificate in Accounting Sciences or an appropriate Higher Certificate in Economic and Management Sciences, or an Advanced Certificate in Accounting Sciences. Applicants, who do not comply with the above requirements, should consider applying
for a lower level qualification for which they meet the statutory and additional requirements
Possible study paths
Graduates may progress to doctoral study in a related field, subject to research alignment and the receiving institution's admission requirements. An advanced diploma, postgraduate diploma, honours degree or professional accounting pathway, subject to the receiving institution's entry rules.
