Published requirements: • A final Grade 12 Mathematics mark of 70% or higher • A final Grade 12 Physical Sciences mark of 70% or higher • A mark of 60% or higher in Afrikaans or English (the language of instruction at either Home Language or First Additional Language level) Prospective students who apply with borderline Grade 11 results may be conditionally accepted, provided they meet the above minimum requirements in their final Grade 12 results. Such applicants are encouraged to choose a second study option from a faculty other than Engineering. Students with 40%+ in both Mathematics and Physical Sciences and at least 60% in the language of instruction can apply for the 1-year Xcel bridging programme • DURATION: 4 years

Graduates may apply for relevant honours or postgraduate diploma study where their qualification, modules and academic results meet the receiving programme's rules. Advanced or postgraduate study in the same engineering discipline, engineering management or a related specialisation, subject to academic results and professional requirements.
