History
Tshwane University of Technology was established in 2004 through the merger of several technikons to create a consolidated university of technology able to deliver career-focussed higher education at scale. Since its formation it has expanded its programme offerings, developed multiple campuses across the Tshwane metropolitan area and surrounding regions, and positioned itself as a major provider of vocationally oriented higher education in South Africa.
