Motheo College
Motheo TVET College is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training institution based in the Free State province of South Africa. The college offers vocational, occupational and foundational skills programmes (including NC(V) and NATED programmes) designed to prepare learners for the workplace and further education. Motheo serves urban and rural communities across Mangaung and surrounding areas with a focus on practical, skills-based training in engineering, business, hospitality, agriculture and related fields.
History
Motheo TVET College was established as part of South Africa's national network of public TVET colleges to expand access to vocational and occupational training in the Free State. Over time the college developed multiple campus locations across the Mangaung region to serve both urban and township communities, aligning programmes with local labour market needs and national skills development priorities. The institution has progressively expanded its programme offering and student support services to improve employability and entrepreneurship among graduates.
To provide accessible, high-quality vocational and occupational education and training that equips learners with practical skills, industry-relevant knowledge and entrepreneurial capabilities to participate effectively in the economy and uplift local communities.
