King Hintsa College
King Hintsa TVET College is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training institution based in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The college offers a range of NCV, NATED (Report 191) and occupationally directed programmes aimed at equipping learners with practical skills for the labour market and for further learning. It serves urban and rural communities and focuses on responsive, industry-aligned vocational training across engineering, business, hospitality, agricultural and community services domains.
History
King Hintsa TVET College is named in honour of King Hintsa ka Khawuta, a notable Xhosa leader. The college has its roots in the province's network of technical and vocational training centres and was developed to consolidate and expand skills training access for communities in the Eastern Cape. Over time the institution has evolved to provide a broader portfolio of NCV and NATED programmes and to engage with industry and local stakeholders to improve graduate employability and access to further education.
