Flavius Mareka
Flavius Mareka TVET College is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training institution based in the Free State province of South Africa. The college offers a range of vocational qualifications including NCV (National Certificate Vocational), Report 191 (NATED) programmes, short skills courses, and occupationally oriented training across engineering, business, hospitality, agriculture and community services.
History
Flavius Mareka TVET College was established to expand vocational education and training opportunities in the Free State, taking its name from the prominent community leader Flavius Mareka. The college has grown to serve multiple communities in the region by offering responsive skills programmes aimed at socio-economic development and improved employability. Over time the institution consolidated a range of campus-based and community-facing training offerings to align with national TVET priorities and regional labour market needs.
To provide accessible, high-quality vocational education and training that equips learners with practical skills, knowledge and values to contribute to socio-economic development and to meet the needs of employers and communities in the Free State.
