False Bay College
False Bay TVET College is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training institution based in the Cape Town metropolitan area of the Western Cape, South Africa. The college offers a range of vocational qualifications including NC(V) programmes, Report 191 (NATED) courses, occupational and workplace-based learning in fields such as engineering, business studies, hospitality, information technology and community development. The college serves school leavers, adult learners and industry learners across multiple campuses on the False Bay and southern Cape Flats corridors.
History
False Bay TVET College evolved from further education initiatives in the southern suburbs and Cape Flats of Cape Town to address local skills shortages and expand access to vocational learning. Over time it consolidated several community-based campuses into a single TVET institution operating under the national TVET framework to deliver NC(V), NATED and occupational programmes aligned with sector needs and SETA requirements.
To provide accessible, relevant and responsive vocational education and training that equips learners with practical skills, workplace readiness and qualifications that support employment, entrepreneurship and community development in the False Bay region.
