Ekurhuleni East
Ekurhuleni East TVET College is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution located in the Ekurhuleni metropolitan area of Gauteng, South Africa. The college offers a range of vocational programmes including NC(V) qualifications, Report 191 (NATED) courses, short skills programmes and workplace-based learning aimed at preparing learners for employment, entrepreneurship and further study.
History
Ekurhuleni East TVET College was established in the early 2000s as part of the national restructuring of further education and training colleges to expand access to vocational education in the East Rand (Ekurhuleni) region. The college consolidated several former technical and vocational training centres into a multi-campus institution serving urban and peri-urban communities, broadening programme offerings over time to include engineering, business, and services-oriented qualifications as well as community and workplace skills development initiatives.
To provide accessible, industry-relevant vocational education and training that equips learners with the knowledge, practical skills and work-ready competencies required for productive participation in the economy and for lifelong learning.
