The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened bursary applications for Trimester 3 of 2025. If you are currently studying at a public TVET College and need financial support, this is your chance to apply.NSFAS Bursary Applications – Trimester 3, 2025

Who Can Apply?

  • Students registered at a public TVET College.

  • Learners who need financial support for Trimester 3, 2025.

  • Applicants who meet NSFAS eligibility criteria (South African citizens, household income below the required threshold, etc.).

What Does NSFAS Cover?

If approved, NSFAS can provide funding for:

  • Tuition fees

  • Registration fees

  • Learning materials

  • Allowances for accommodation, transport, and meals (where applicable)

Required Documents

Before starting your application, make sure you have the following ready:

  • Certified copy of your ID document

  • Proof of household income (e.g., payslips or affidavits)

  • Parent/guardian ID documents

  • Proof of residence

  2. Click on the myNSFAS portal.

  3. Register or log in with your details.

Important Note for 2026 Applicants

This current bursary call is only for Trimester 3 of 2025. The general NSFAS application cycle for the 2026 academic year has not yet opened. Based on previous years, it is expected to open later in 2025. Students planning to study in 2026 should regularly check:
