The Department of Health and Wellness in the Western Cape invites applications for its Full-Time Bursary Programme. This initiative offers financial assistance to unemployed individuals residing in the Western Cape who wish to pursue qualifications in priority health science fields.
Purpose of the Bursary
-
Address critical skills shortages in the Western Cape healthcare system
-
Support training and education for health professionals
-
Encourage local employment through a work-back obligation upon completion of studies
-
Ensure bursary holders gain experience via a structured Community Service Project
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Be unemployed and reside in the Western Cape
-
Be accepted or registered in an approved qualification at a recognised South African higher education institution
-
Be applying for one of the designated health science study fields
-
Commit to working in the Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness upon completion of their studies
