The University of Fort Hare (UFH) has officially opened its online applications for the 2026 academic year. Prospective undergraduate students are invited to apply for studies at any of UFH’s campuses in Alice, East London, and Bhisho.

Application Dates
Opening Date: 1 June 2025
Closing Date: 30 September 2025
(Some programmes, such as those in Health Sciences, may have earlier deadlines — check faculty-specific information.)

Application Fee: R120 (non-refundable) for South African applicants
International Applicants: R500

UFH offers a variety of undergraduate qualifications through its faculties of Education, Law, Health Sciences, Science and Agriculture, Social Sciences and Humanities, and Management and Commerce.

How to Apply
Visit www.ufh.ac.za

1. Click on “Apply Online” under the Admissions section

2. Create an account or log in to the UFH application portal

3. Complete the online application form accurately

4. Upload certified copies of:

   • South African ID or passport

   • Final Grade 11 or most recent school results

   • Additional supporting documents where applicable

5. Submit your application and keep your reference number for tracking

• Apply early to avoid last-minute delays and to secure your space

• Review programme-specific entry requirements before applying

• Upload all documents clearly and ensure they are certified

• Use a valid and personal email address and cellphone number

• Regularly check the status of your application through the UFH online system
