STUDENT SUCCESS STORY: From Uncertainty to Passion – Matshidiso Molakeng’s Journey at Ekurhuleni East TVET College

Ekurhuleni East TVET College is proud to celebrate the journey of Matshidiso Molakeng, a determined and inspiring student from Ratanda, Heidelberg. Her story is a testament to the value of technical education, dedication, and the transformative power of hands-on learning.

Matshidiso began her academic journey in 2021 when she enrolled for N1 in Electrical Engineering at the Benoni Campus. Like many students starting out, she was uncertain about her course choice. However, through the structured teaching methods and practical training offered by the college, she quickly discovered a passion for engineering.

Driven by her interest and growing skills, Matshidiso completed her N2 to N3 at Benoni Campus, and went on to pursue N4 to N5 at Daveyton Campus. Today, she is applying her knowledge and refining her technical abilities through an apprenticeship programme at Transnet Academy, where she uses the tools and insights gained during her years at EEC.

Her journey reflects not only personal growth but also the strength of Ekurhuleni East TVET College’s commitment to excellence. Through strong academic programmes and valuable industry partnerships, the college prepares its students for real-world opportunities.
