South African Reserve Bank (SARB) External Bursary Scheme 2026 Applications Now Open
The South African Reserve Bank is calling on bright, ambitious South African learners who are passionate about furthering their studies to apply for the 2026 External Bursary Scheme. This bursary is designed to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds who wish to pursue university degrees in fields related to the SARB’s functions.

Who Should Apply
This bursary is ideal for students planning to study fields that align with the SARB’s mission. To qualify, applicants must:

Have provisional acceptance into a recognised South African university for an undergraduate degree

Have achieved an average of 70% in their June Grade 12/Matric exams

Be under the age of 30
