Applications for the 2025 Pyrotec Bursary Program have now closed as of 17:00 on 24 January 2025. Successful candidates have been selected and notified. If you have not received any communication from Pyrotec by the end of February 2025, please consider your application unsuccessful.

New bursary applications will reopen in 2026.

What the Pyrotec Bursary Covers:

• Tuition Fees:
  100% of prescribed university tuition fees and registration fees, paid directly to the university.

• Accommodation:
  An amount equal to the average rate for a single room in a university hostel is paid. Payments go directly to the university if staying in university accommodation. If staying in non-university accommodation, payments will be made to the property owner upon submission of a lease agreement or invoice.

• Transport Allowance:
  Paid directly to the individual. Applicants must submit proof of address when applying for this allowance.

• Textbooks:
  Up to R5,000 per annum will be paid directly to the bursar for textbooks.

• Additional Notes:
  Students must cover the cost of any repeat subjects themselves. Payments are made once a year.
