About the Bursary

Mediclinic and ER24 acknowledge the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals both locally and globally. In response to this need, the organisation offers a limited number of bursary opportunities each year to assist students with course fees in specific healthcare-related fields.

Fields of Study Supported

The bursary is available to applicants enrolling or currently enrolled in the following undergraduate programmes:

  • Nursing

  • Pharmacy

  • Emergency Medical Care


Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Submit Grade 11 or 12 results for first-year applicants (results must qualify the applicant for admission into a bachelor’s degree)

  • Provide academic results to date if currently enrolled in a tertiary programme

  • Provide proof of acceptance or registration from a recognised institution offering the relevant programme

  • Preference will be given to Employment Equity (EE) candidates

  • Financial need of the applicant and/or their parents will be taken into account


Selection Process & Outcome

All applications will be reviewed in line with:

  • Mediclinic Southern Africa's Employment Equity Plan

  • Internal applicants/employees who meet the minimum requirements

Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee selection, but all qualifying applications will be considered fairly.
