FMCSA Ford Bursary – Funding for Final-Year Industrial & Mechanical Engineering StudentsFord Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) is committed to investing in South Africa’s youth by providing practical workplace experience and financial support to top-performing students. Through its bursary programme, FMCSA supports final-year students in Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering to help them complete their academic qualifications.

Fields of Study Covered

The bursary is open to students pursuing:

  • Industrial Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications Supported:

  • Undergraduate (final year)

  • Postgraduate (where applicable)

What the Bursary Offers

Selected students will receive:

  • Financial sponsorship for their final year of study

  • Potential consideration for FMCSA’s Graduate Trainee Programme upon graduation

  • Exposure to real-world engineering challenges within a global automotive leader

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen

  • Have completed Matric

  • Be currently studying full-time towards an engineering qualification at a recognised South African tertiary institution

  • Be entering the final year of study in 2026

  • Have a strong academic record
