Clientèle Royalty Bursary 2026

Clientèle is offering financial support through its Royalty Bursary Scheme for eligible South African youth pursuing full-time undergraduate studies in 2026. This initiative aims to empower passionate and hardworking learners by enabling access to quality tertiary education at accredited institutions across South Africa.


Who Should Apply?

This bursary is ideal for:

  • Current Grade 12 learners in 2025, or

  • First- or second-year undergraduate students in 2026

Applicants must not already hold a bursary from another institution.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a South African citizen

  • Must intend to study full-time toward an undergraduate qualification

  • Must be accepted at or applying to a SAQA-accredited institution within South Africa

  • Only one bursary per family will be awarded

  • The parent or legal guardian must be on Clientèle Tier 3, 4 or 5 for the duration of the bursary


Bursary Value and Coverage

  • Up to R60,000 per year for:

    • Tuition fees

    • Textbooks

    • Approved equipment

    • University-accredited accommodation

  • Additional funds may be granted for justified education-related expenses

  • No cash will be paid directly to the recipient; all payments are made to institutions or service providers


Important Application Dates

  • Applications close: 30 April 2025

  • Applicants notified by SMS: 30 June 2025

  • University acceptance proof due: 31 January 2026

  • Bursary contract signing deadline: 31 January 2026


Required Documents

Submit the following certified documents with your application:

  • South African ID

  • Final Grade 11 results (if currently in Matric), or Matric certificate and most recent academic record

  • Completed application form (handwritten in black ink)

  • Recent photo (attached or emailed separately with your name)

Selection Process

  • Shortlisted applicants may be invited for interviews

  • A career assessment will be required for new university students

  • Successful candidates will be offered a bursary contract

  • Results must be submitted mid-year and at year-end annually
