Allan Gray Scholarship Programme for Entrepreneurial Development

The Allan Gray Scholarship Programme offers entrepreneurial scholarships to high school learners who are curious, academically promising, and financially deserving. This scholarship supports learners to attend leading high schools across South Africa, providing funding alongside mentorship and entrepreneurial development.

Our Offer to You

Who Can Apply?

  • Current Grade 6 learners (born in 2013 or 2014)

  • South African citizens

  • Must be aged between 11 and 12 years

  • Demonstrate financial need

  • Achieve at least 70% in English and Mathematics


Application Process

  1. Submit the completed application form with supporting documents.

  2. Successful applicants will write the Foundation assessment in English and Mathematics for Grade 6 in December 2025.

  3. Candidates passing the assessment will be invited to interviews in early 2026.

  4. Recommended candidates will visit placement schools for further interviews.

  5. Scholarships are awarded in May 2026 after approval by placement schools.

  6. A Memorandum of Agreement is signed between the Foundation, placement school, and the Scholar’s custodian.
