This Academic Merit Bursary is designed to support high-achieving students who plan to study full-time in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). It targets first-year to third-year students who show strong academic potential but may lack the financial resources to further their studies.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply, students must:

Be a South African citizen by birth
-
Be pursuing full-time undergraduate studies in a South African tertiary institution

Have passed Grade 12 with an exemption and achieved 70% or more in all subjects

If already in tertiary education (first year or above), must have a minimum average of 65% or higher
-
Be studying in a STEM field at an accredited South African university
Application Process
Step 1:
Before applying, ensure that you meet all the listed eligibility criteria.
Step 2:
Once applications open, register and apply online. After submission, a confirmation email will be sent, and your application will be assessed by the Bursary Management team. Updates and feedback will be provided throughout the process.
